FRIENDS

MONOCHROME SERIES

Hello! Haven't been here in a while as I have been uninspired. However, lately I have found some inspiration in black and white photos. I am incredibly infatuated black and white photos. There is always mystery, an untold story behind black and white photos. I have quite a collection of them that I have captured through my phone as it is always with me. I just wanted a place to put all of these unpublished photos so I thought it would be nice to share some on my blog. I will be sharing all of these photos in series. The first will be coming shortly. I hope you enjoy!

WEEKEND

The 13th of September is one of my good friends birthday so as per usual, we celebrate! My camera hardly ever gets put to good use and just stays in my room so I thought I'd take it along for the ride. Like always I get ready to leave way too early, in this case four hours too early. My patience was running low and to cure my boredom I snapped some photos of little trinkets and flowers from my backyard. Finally, our adventure started. First we had to fuel up and grab some grub, so went to my favorite burger joint, In N Out. I hadn't had it in the longest time so it was a real treat. Then we headed off to Town Square, which is a sort of outdoors shopping center. After that we had planned to pick up some macarons from Bouchon Bakery, however by time we could go there it would have been closed. So we detoured to China Town and fulfilled our sweet tooth with shaved ice and went to Kuma Snow Cream for the first time. I love trying different sorts of ice cream or yogurt. I got the green tea shaved ice topped with rainbow colored mochi bits and it was divine! Sadly, I didn't have a chance to take a photo of my shaved ice but we did get a picture of us three at the place! We ended the night with more junk food and a movie.

At Kuma Snow Cream
The next day, September 14, we again celebrated my friend's birthday but at the park with all her friends and family. I didn't bust my camera out as much but I did manage to snap this picture (see above) while we sat on a hill. It just might be my favorite picture I have ever captured.

CURRENT MUSIC FAVORITES

I've shared with you all my favorite YouTube channels because it's a very big part of what I spend the majority of my time on. So I thought I would continue with sharing with you more little bits of the things I like. I think you all must know I am obsessed with music! I listen to multiple genres, I go from something very instrumental weird noise alternative music to classic female diva Barbra Streisand, broadway-y type of music. As long as it pleases my ears, it's goin into my iPod! I thought I would share the music I've been listening to! Hope you enjoy!

Wild Nothing
album: Nocturne

I recently discovered them through a girl on Tumblr who shared a bunch of her music interests so I checked them out and I love their music! I love listening to them while taking a morning shower because the way their music sounds gives me a sort of nostalgia and a sense of peace. I also think that they sound a tad bit like The Smiths, which I love!

Glee
song: Against All Odds (Take a Look At Me Now) originally by Phil Collins

Another thing about me, i'm a sucker for Glee. I'm obsessed with the show but maybe i'll get into that in another post. Anyways, this song is g o r g e o u s! I love love love the original and I love this so much as well! They sound very similar but the way Darren Criss covers it, it just sounds so sad and lovely and amazing.
P!nk
album: The Truth About Love
song: Just Give Me A Reason ft Nate Ruess

Okay, I love Pink! This song is just gorgeous. Plus Pinks vocals plus Nate's is an unexpectedly great combination! Their voices together fit together so well.

Rihanna
album: Unapologetic
song: Stay

Oh. My. Gosh! Hold up. This song. This song is amaaaaazing. I can't even recall how I stumbled upon this song but I sure as hell am glad I did. It is just so raw and so sad. When I discovered this song it had to be the first song I played in the morning and the last song I heard at night. This song was literally on repeat for hours.
Kimbra
album: Vows
song: Call Me

Kimbra is amazing! This song is just one of the many that I absolutely love. Kimbra has such a unique voice and style to her that you really can't help but love. The way she conducts her music is amazing, she really is definitely worth checking out.
Sucre
song: Place To Be originally by Nick Drake

Sucre consists of Jeremy Larson, Stacy King from Eisley, and Darren King from Mutemath. And what a combination! Their cover of this song is so lovely and sort of has a slightly haunting vibe to it. Stacy's voice is really what makes it for me. Her voice is flawless and this song makes me feel at such ease. It's one of those songs that makes you feel comfort. Also, Stacy comes from an incredibly talent filled family. So check out Sucre, Eisley, and Merriment!
